I had never known much about what led to his death.
Found this part interesting

Wright's ex-wife, Sherra Robinson Wright, had told authorities in 2010 that he left her Collierville home at about 10:30 p.m. July 18 with drugs and an unspecified amount of money, according to a Memphis police affidavit. She told authorities that Wright made a phone call to an unknown person and said he was going to flip something for $110,000. He then left in a vehicle driven by an unidentified person shortly after the call, she said.

Hope that gives his family some closure. His son was just playing against LSU for UT-Martin.

crazy, his body was found not too far from my house. That whole story was/is wild

Yeah, the article said his 911 call was traced to a golf course and his body was found in some woods close to that area.
Assuming Wright's ex-wife knew who was driving the original car, I don't see how this was a cold case for 7 years. Sounds like a relatively straightforward crime.

The bullets is what led to his death.
Poor Zen. His body only weighed 35 lbs when they found him.

His body was found back in the wooded area at the corner of Winchester and Hacks Cross irrc, which is on the property of fedex headquarters. Fedex headquarters borders Southwind. Southwind is an upscale gated community where the TPC course is. Several Grizzlies players used to live in there.

I'm not sure she did know who was driving the car. What's weird to me is they find a random gun in BFE Mississippi (Walnut is about an hour SE from Memphis) 7 years later and somehow link it to his murder. I'd love to read some more details on how they connected the dots.

Somebody cut a deal and told them where to find the weapon is my guess

I imagine they will make a movie once the dust settles.

Snitches get Stitches, it's why many of these type of murders go unsolved.
I love the ones that don't say shite, then when one of their loved ones is killed by same person, they want some one to speak up!

Zen's ex-wife was just arrested in connection to his murder in California.
It was pretty much a forgone conclusion she was involved in some way. She spent the kids inheritance as quick as she got it.
Sorry no link. I just got an alert from the local news on my phone.
