Immunotherapy is the thing working miracles in cancer treatment, not these alternative treatments. My mother is 6 months into treatment and the results have been amazing. Without immunotherapy, she was probably looking at chemo to extend her life maybe a year at best. With immunotherapy, she is almost cancer free. Her next PET scan is at the end of the month and her doctor is expecting the cancer to be gone. The only downside is that it doesn’t work for all cancer patients. My friend I referenced earlier was tested for the possibility of using it for his cancer treatment but it was determined it would not have worked with his.

Exactly. We are getting to a point in cancer therapy where each patient's disease can be treated in a specific manner. Some cancers are still mysteries to science, but others (and specific changes) are becoming more easily targeted. Look for adoptive cell therapies to be the next wave following the current monoclonal tide. It really is an exciting time to be in cancer research.
Also, frick everyone who thinks there a secret cure for all cancers. This idea is completely idiotic and truly exposes an ignorance to basic cancer science.
