I didn't blame anyone. You just had a very ignorant post about the Memphis game then continued to try to say Memphis wasn't good by using a P5 win as evidence.

Never said they weren't good. Said that a 2OT win giving up 55 against them isn't exactly a resume booster. Just as a win over a disappointing UCLA team didn't turn out to be one either.

It was a ranked win over a 10 win team. What the frick are you talking about?

Even with playing a ranked Memphis team twice their SOS was still 66th in the country. Memphis being a ranked, 10 win team with a SOS of 61st. That's why 12-0 gets them to #12 in the CFP Rankings. They gave them their shot against a big P5 school and we will see how they stack up.

There was nothing this team could have done to make it
If they know their conference isn’t strong enough, if they have championship aspirations they know what they need to do to toughen their schedule.
Blame the AD.

If UCF is good next year, they'll have a shot.
So they basically have to go undefeated two years in a row to have a shot, despite losing their coach.
And even then it's not guaranteed... they'd still need some chaos up top from enough of the power 5 schools to open up a spot.

You haven't seen the defense you are about to see in auburn. They are gonna push you around on both lines. Your qb won't have time to think with Jeff holland breathing down his neck.

I've always been a proponent of a 6 team playoff with the top two seeds getting a bye. I think this is a healthy compromise that could likely provide teams like UCF a decent chance at sliding into a playoff format.

8 team playoff gives the UCFs a fighting chance.
This is the most I think I could entertain. I wouldn't be upset with 5 Conference winners, G5 rep if the win their conference AND are in the Top 12 or something, and then 2-3 at large bids.

Teams like UCF still wouldn't stand a chance. They're 8th in the Massey Computer Composite rankings, 7th in the BCS computers, but 12th in the CFP rankings.

The only thing they can do is do what Bobby Bowden did when he was building Florida State and play any team any time anywhere. If that means playing four power teams on the road every year, that's what they should do.

I just think a committee would slide a 12-0 UCF in if the playoffs were expanded to 6 teams.

Yeah.
It's not fair, never said it was.
Should every lower conference team that gets hot have a chance to play in the NC? Western Michigan of last year? If not, how do you determine which ones get a chance and which ones don't?

You'd like to think so, but they've proven time and time again to be very tough on G5 teams.
