Yeah I don't see what's so wrong with expecting progress. We won 9 games this year and went 6-2 in conference, and assuming Canada doesn't jump ship it'll be the 2nd year or his system and our young studs should improve as well. O was hired on the premise to pick up the ball right where it was and advance it. The next logical step is at least 10 wins and winning the west. I don't know why others are so disgusted by that notion. Do they not have faith in Orgeron or do they just not give a shite if the program improves?

I think that would be great... Not sure it will happen though.. A super tough schedule and ALOT of first time skill players next year.... Not sure if I want Canada to stay.....

The mental gymnastics are mystifying.

After the State and Troy losses, we were informed this is a rebuild and the talent isn't very good. Once the recruiting picks up, we'll be fine.

Now we're 9-3 and excuses are already being made for a similar or worse record next year.

O said himself that the goal was to be competing for championships quickly. If anything, his biggest supporters should be holding him to that standard.

I agree we have the overall talent to win 10 games in any given year. Our D should be really solid next year. It's just going to come down to what it always comes down to: QB play. Until we get someone that can win some games at that position, it's going to be more of the same 8 and 9 win "decent" seasons. Hopefully one of the young guys will step up next year.
