Why are you guys talking about this so much. Last year LSU fans claimed they could pay Jimbo what ever he wanted and now A&M actually did it . If KSU would signed Jimbo to this deal last year , you guys would be excited.

I remember when a school in the SEC was considered a sleeping giant and just needed the right fit or push or whatever.
I also remember people being sooo upset when that SEC school paid it's new Head Coach over a million a year. And he hadn't won shite anywhere he had been...
Many people thought LSU was crazy for paying Nick Saban 1.2 million a year 17 years ago. I would guess that was a pretty good investment for LSU.
The possibility does exist that this works out in A&M's favor. A SEC championship and a playoff appearance would change the national perception of A&M...like it did for LSU in 01 and 03.
