Randy Meisner was one of "Take it to the Limit" writers and dreaded performing it because of the stunt vocals he had to pull off at the end.

Already amidst other friction with the band, it was a big factor that lead to a backstage fight with Frey that was pretty much the last straw, bringing about the Schmit era.

Never understood this. What a singer man. If I'd been blessed with a range like that I would have loved to show it off.

I love a lot of his Eagles sung songs: Is It True, Try And Love Again, Tryin.

His backing vocals are one of the things that makes Rick Nelson's 'Live At The Troubadour 1969' great
