I dropped from 192 to 155.

I had a goal of 180 days, which gave me a nice healthy number of 1800 calories per day.

It worked.

I stuck to it, not a day over 1800 calories, and I would rarely go under.

Don't starve yourself like some people do. Set a realistic goal so you can get a calorie amount per day which doesn't put you into depression, because you WILL quit and then you would have been better off taking it slower.
