I would much rather have been able to save 10K a year.. it was not an athletic choice.. but an educational and safety choice for us and most others at his school.

I don't disagree, but there is kind of a question of which came first. Kind of a chicken and the egg thing. Are so many of the public schools the way they are because so many average and good students are in the private schools. Or, are those students in the private schools because the public schools are so bad, or is it both?

I always wonder what would happen if the majority of people who have their kids in private school would make the decision to send their kids to public schools and get involved with the school and the community. I think that's the way it is in a large part of the country.

I don't know the answer, but it's something I've long wondered.
