enjoyable, I would have liked to spend maybe one more day in Vienna and maybe one less day in Germany. The vessel is easy to get around, we chose a room with a small balcony so not to feel as confined. The tour excursions and things to do you can stay in your room as much or as little as you prefer.
I would do a variation of the trip in the future (different river) - there are so many options available as extending the trip on the front end or the back end. We met numerous couples that have toured with Viking on numerous occasions that they do a good job.

Do you think seeing the country by river and staying on the boat was well worth say touring by car and staying in hotels? Did it give you more or less time to tour? Was it nice not having to check in and out of a hotel? How were the cities you stopped? Super touristy toward the boats? Or how was that? I know the boats aren't huge, but I'm always curious how the stops are compared to cruise ship stops?

The food on board is supposed to be very good, how was it? I'd assume it was local food right?
