I want Jimbo to go to A&M for 7.5 million for 8 years or something stupid.....

This is it for the Aggies....should he accept and win 8 or 9 games a year, their fate will be forever sealed as a place that can’t win titles.

Frankly, its a match made in heaven.....it follows the we stole Chavis narrative, now we stole Jimbo....but still no Dubs

They wouldn’t have stolen Jimbo like they did Chavis since Jimbo told LSU to frick off a year ago.

A co-worker who's kid is a top recruit told me last week that Jimbo was going to Texas and was asked about going to Texas. I been sick all week hoping that it wasn't true but at this point I guess it is.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s low 6 figures. Not sure how their foundation handles everything. Could have a single donor foot a buyout.

Give it two to three years.

UT has three head coaches out there being created:

Truthfully I would love to see them bring in a coach like Sean McVay from the Rams.
The guy is an offensive genius.

Leach cannot work at A&M

Mike Leach at Arkansas would be a match made it heaven

Leach is an outsider. Someone who likes to put a chip in the shoulder of his players.
Aggy has created an image that they are a big time program so they need a glamour hire.

There are still some freedom loving hippies up there in Fayetteville to give Mike Leach something to be interested in.

I don’t think you’re going to find many guys like McVay. Throughly impressed with how quickly he’s turned things around in LA.

No person deserves full credit as he inherited some talent and put together a great coaching staff.
Nevertheless he so far looks like he can be the first coach in awhile to have success from the offensive point of view in his first year. Hopefully he does not end up like Josh McDaniels.

Most of the coaches who had success in their first few years were from the defensive side.

Follow the convo... We were speaking about Sean McVay and how some of these college teams should try to pull in one of these young coordinators in the NFL.
Anyway....
Bum and Wade Phillips is almost 70 years of Texas coaching in terms of consecutive years but adding up their years of coaching it is 92 years.
Bum started in 1951 in Southeast Texas at Nederland HS

dumpster fire

This term gets thrown around here way too often. Because they had a down year after losing their star quarterback for the year at the very beginning of the season, they are a dumpster fire? They still have one of the most talented rosters, his players love him, he's got a great resume, win loss record and a natty. He'll have them back at the top soon if he stays there.

WTF? Why on earth would Sean McVea leave a playoff hound Rams team and leave in mid season , or take a down graded position now that he is the HOT NFL head coach. You don't understand football, dude.

The point was last year when McVay was the OC of the Washington Redskins.
I do not remember any NFL coach leaving to take a college job without other factors being involved like a Jim Harbaugh.
