I remember a team in 2011 that didn’t win their conference and was able to move up to #2 in the country and play in a national championship game.
Without the Troy loss, we would have had a chance to get in.

No. A 1 loss Bama might have a chance, but a 2 loss team that doesn’t win their conference is not getting in.

The Bama loss was more significant. Beat Bama and THEN you can talk about playoffs.
Anyway, the Troy loss should come w/ an asterisk. We would have beaten them in our regular white jerseys.
