I know a Dr that is a JW, he has colon cancer and was diagnosed early. He is refusing treatment because of his religion. Never made sense how he believed this way but was a Dr. How is refusing treatment any different than suicide? Either way you are killing you self.

Interesting that he is a doc. JW generally frown on higher education, although the two I knew best did have college degrees.
From NPR: Pew Research shows that only 9 percent of Witnesses get undergraduate degrees. That's well below the national average of 30.4 percent and the lowest of any faith group. The likely reason for this trend is the religion's official warnings against college.
