It is getting thoroughly debunked not only by the releases...
BUT several writers in the past have found numerous errors in the book including at least 8 prepositions that are complete falsehoods...off the cuff I Can think of Michael Russ and a dude named Starks...
Either way, as information of the past becomes available...History gets rewritten

Case Closed not only has a number of factual inaccuracies in it that have never been corrected by the author but also the book was written in 1990 which makes it a very dated document.
Those who insist that Case Closed is THE final word on things are wishfully thinking and hoping because it is NOT.
