It is amazing this narrative keeps getting repeated...

Forget the fact he was at Northern Illinois from 98-03 and Indiana from 04 -10 but hey lets only look at some of the jobs so it proves our points of him not staying anywhere.

Almost every time he moved it was a promotion so who in their right mind wouldn't want more money or a better position?

That's not quite giving the pertinent info though.

1994-1996 Indiana (GA)
1997 Butler (OC/QB)
1998–2000 Northern Illinois (RB)
2001–2002 Northern Illinois (QB)
2003 Northern Illinois (OC/QB)
2004 Indiana (QB)
2005–2006 Indiana (QB/PGC)
2007–2010 Indiana (OC/QB)
2011 Northern Illinois (OC/QB)
2012 Wisconsin (OC/QB)
2013–2015 NC State (OC/QB)
2016 Pitt (OC/QB)
2017–present LSU (OC/QB)

He did have a long stint as a coach on staff at Northern Illinois and Indiana, but the first was as he rose from RB coach to QB coach to OC. Then back to the better job at Indiana where he did the same thing...there, he was the OC for three season and THEN moved to the better gig at Wisky for one season. Then to NC State for three seasons and PITT for one. That one year gig enabled him to land the LSU job.

From the looks of it, it's not that he's flighty, it's that he's a really good OC who is in high demand and moves from job to job as he thinks it benefits his career goals. He's moved very regularly since he's become an OC at the Power 5 level...assuming his stint at LSU will be different is merely an assumption. My guess is that from this stop it's either an NFL OC job of a mid-major HC position. But anyone thinking Canada is going to be here in 2020 or something is dreaming.
