She cheated, which is already a relationship ender, but she also abandoned her children. This is a genuinely bad person that your nephew is willingly letting back into his life. Terrible decision and you as his family need to intervene and set this dude straight.

A woman has to have some kind of serious personality or mood disorder to abandon her children. She needs a psychiatrist first and foremost.
