The coaching has been money since week 3. With that said, what happened yesterday? We have the best running tandem, maybe one of the best of all time by years end, yet they had only 16 rushing attempts going into OT. That would've been a little low if it was a halftime stat, don't you think? The skins constantly bull rushed their D ends all game, leaving the running game open. Still, we let a HOF 39 year old Brees take multiple hits that he didn't have to take. The game plan on the offensive side of the ball still has me at a loss.
Hey I'm Mike Tyson "xscadik" about the comeback win, being 8-2 and how truly good this team is, but the game plan caused this game to play out the way it did.

No, it was just the Saints.

The offensive line was getting worked in the first 3 quarters.
Conversely we couldn't touch Cousins in the first 3 quarters.
Happens sometimes in the NFL.

I get that, but the Skins D ends were the reason for that. They bull rushed straight up field all game and had no shot at making a tackle if we ran off tackle. That was open all game and we didn't attack it.

Payton has CNPC disease.
Chronic Nonsense Play Calling is a disease that affects otherwise genius coaches and is thought to be a symptom of their genius.
CNPC is a normally mild and almost unnoticeable condition when treated with a balanced offense.
Its worst symptoms usually manifests when an offense controlled by someone with CNPC is doing well and is usually caused by an overreaction to early game play or a perceived need to be flashy. If left untreated, CNPC can be detrimental to an entire game plan or even an entire season.
Most symptoms include:
Abandonment of the run game before halftime
Plays like the double reverse
40 yard bombs into double coverage on 3rd and 4
Empty set shotgun on the goaline
Back to back passing plays to start a drive early in the game
Unnecessary play actions before the run is established
If you, or someone you know, is showing symptoms of CNPC please call the number on your screen now.

Anyone caught Aikmans Cue when he said peyton was getting too "cute"
Sometimes, I find myself starting to agree with them.

The play calling got too cute at certain points but I thought the offense was fine outside of the untimely penalties that cost us some drives.
We gave up running it when we got down and it was obvious Washington was trying to play ball control too. We stick to the run against LA, who struggled against it with the Vikes, and we should be fine

Right because Payton is a very unsuccessful head coach

Guy just came back from 15 down and you want to say he’s a poor play caller? Whatever.
Maybe you should pray about it

I thought this throughout most of the game. I understand we wanted to do play action and push the field but i thought it was very unnecessary. It was obvious early the Redskins couldn't keep up with our run game and it puzzled me that we kept going away from it. Regardless we ended up winning the game in OT behind the running attack but i hope in similar games we lean on the run game earlier to control the game and rest a defense that was injured and getting shredded.

The coaching staff has been outstanding, especially halftime adjustments. Every hit on Brees made me cringe. If we had no choice and had to pass, so be it, but we chose not to run the ball. Washington didn't do anything to take us away from the run game

I hate how every time we play from behind somebody points this out.
1. When behind you will have to throw the ball more.
2. We got in situations where we had long 3rd downs and had to pass.
3. When trying to stop the clock you need to throw the ball.
Here is the run pass ratio when you take out the 3 drives in 2 minute drill. (field goal end of the half, last two drives to tie the game.
20 runs
25 passes
Pretty balanced. Stop looking at the stat sheets so much.

Not to mention the 3 drives that were pass heavy produced 18 points.

We weren’t going to erase a double digit deficit running the ball. People act like it’s as easy to running the ball 10 times then you score, like it’s automatic. SP wouldve integrated run more with the closer we made the score, that’s always been his MO. It just so happens we didn’t allow ourselves to do that due to the late game heroics. He jumped right back to the run in OT when the game script allowed, just like he’s always done
