I never write that and I only edited for typos.

To paint a picture: my wife was standing outside in the backyard with our two dogs. His girlfriend opens the door to let their dog out, but does not immediately come outside with it. His dog runs up to one of mine, snuffs it for a second, and then attacks. My dog lets out a very loud scream because she didn’t expect the first bite and got snagged near the ear pretty good. Both women start screaming. I hear this and run outside to find the neighbors dog aggressively biting on the neck of my dog. Both women are crying because they cannot separate them. My dog is crying badly because she is hurt and scared. My other dog was trying to fight the bigger dog off, but failing. Neighbor also heard the noise and comes running outside. I grab my dog by the hind legs, he grabs his dog but the mouth/Head. His hands come out pretty bloody and I’m covered in shite from my dog.

I agree that his gf is really the only one who fricked up. Everyone else handled things as best they could. I didn’t grow up with dogs and mine have never been aggressive, so seeing and stopping this behavior wasn’t something I was prepared for. I’ve learned how to handle it and we won’t find ourselves in this situation again.

It sounded and felt worse in the moment than it ended up being. Seeing the woman you love crying with blooded hands and an animal you love screaming out for help made me angry and protective. So yeah, I was emotional when I made the original post.
