1. He played NT last year not DT, and he has played better this years. We were a 3-4 defense last year too.
2. You don’t have to agree. They played like 85% of defensive snaps for a large stretch of games. Without them we just don’t have a defensive line. And the defense has still been good.

He alternated between NT and DT, Alexander played some NT last season, but I mean I've seen Gilmore get blowed off the line on more than one occasion. An overhyped Valentine was more effective than him in the few games he played when he was at LSU. Don't get me wrong, I mean as I said Gilmore has improved, but he's average at best. And I am not saying the defense was bad, just up and down because of inexperience. Lacouture and Gilmore were needed this season because of lack of depth this season, but next season I think they will be much better.
