Yeah id like to know in the 2 or 3 years while at LSU how many tackles they have made in the backfield. I'd guess there were not many

Funny you should ask. This season Gilmore and Lacouture are tied for team lead in sacks (5.5 each) and tied for 2nd in TFL (7.0 - White has 8.5). Also Lacouture is 2nd on the team in tackles and Gilmore is 6th.

The defense overall hasn't been impressive like years past, especially last season. They have been up and down, stats do not tell the whole story. White has been impressive this season, but even he has stumbled on occasions. Him and Battle looked terrible in whiffing on that should have been sacked effort on Bama's Hurt. Lacouture may be second, but that just tells me how bad the D has been this season that a D tackle is second on the team in tackles. I have watched Lacouture and Gilmore, they just aren't good D tackles imo, average at best and will be drafted low in the NFL draft. But I think the guys taking over after them starting next season will be real good and the defense will be much improved next season.

Lacouture was more then likely thrown into the qb on those sacks.
