If you dont want to build loops at least build slip ramps and service roads along the interstate inside city limits.

Is this just some ideology LaDOT refuses to adopt?

Edit for example:

What's baffling is that I-10 DOES have a service road for many parts of the rural areas west of Lafayette and nothing in the major cities

I have often asked myself why BR doesn't have service roads for 10, 12 and Airline

I don't know. Probably because they would improve traffic flow and the general quality of life?

This is honestly what I was thinking when I made the thread.

Most of the wrecks could be eased with a three lane service road. Hell even a two lane.

because people in Louisiana don't like to pay for shite. they just wait for handouts that often don't come.

Don't they have service roads between Bluebonnet and Siegen?

They should add that to the section between Essen and Bluebonnet.

Just checked and yes they do for a whopping two exits.

The entire DNT has it. This is roughly ~ 20-25 miles.

You have something acting as a service road on Airline between Cedarcrest and Siegen. That's about it though.

Because all of the land has been sold and is occupied by buildings etc. There isn't any room for service roads through BR. Poor planning by the commission.

Practically every major city in Texas has service roads.

Houston's are impressive

Because the same people who taught you grammar taught our civil engineers how to construct highways.

Because by and large, Louisiana has the vision of Ray Charles. Essentially everything that is done and will be done in this state is reactionary.

Wouldn't it be:

Why LA Major Highways do not have service roads.

Since do not is the non contracted form?
