So I get that....if you want to claim the trip was frivolous and should never have been taken by anyone except for Edmundson and maybe his family I get that.

Picture this....if your boss comes and tells you hey guy I'm getting an award in Vegas...I want you to come out there to the ceremony to support me. Are you going to say no?

Picture this. I was told by someone at LSP who was in a position to know that someone else was supposed to get that award until Edmonson found out the conference was in San Diego. They then scratched the other guy and substituted Edmonson.
