First, what will UCF's ranking be this week? Second, Lets take a look at what UCF's chances are to getting into the playoff discussion and what they have left in front of them. At looking at their remaining schedule, they have a couple of solid games left with Temple (5-5), USF (8-1) and #22 Memphis (9-1). With this weeks shake up, and with the inevitable upcoming shake ups, is UCF in any position to start making some noise? They have the right schedule coming up at the perfect time. If USF can crack the top 25 again after this week, UCF could end the season with back to back top 25 wins. Do they have chance after that? Have at it..

The fact that they are still only 18 tells us all we need to know. They needed that GT win earlier this year, and even so, that still wouldn’t have been enough.

Thought they already played? Only loss on the Tigers schedule so far.

I think this weeks ranking will tell us what we need to know, not their current ranking. If they can get close to top 10, then I think with what they have left on their schedule, people need to at least acknowledge that they are creeping into the conversation and should be taken seriously.

They'd meet Memphis in the conference championship game, but 2 wins over them only adds to my point

Anybody that says they have 0% or 1% chance, tells me they know nothing about college football.

They’ll probably only move up to 15-16. They were 10 spots lower than Wisconsin this week with a similar if not better resume, getting no respect. Sucks too cuz this year is shaping up for a two loss Champ to make it, UCF should be in the discussion at least if that happens, but they won’t.

Agree, this weeks ranking is pivotal for them moving forward. If they can make a decent jump to around #10, then I think they have a fighters chance with their remaining schedule

but they won't. VTech and Mich state are the only two teams that will go behind them after this week

You're probably right, but we will just have to wait and see. Now that a few teams have eliminated themselves (ND, TCU, Wash) I wouldn't be totally shocked if UCF is ranked ahead of them. Not saying they will, but Im just saying I wouldn't be shocked.
