Deshaun Watson who is a dual threat only had like 30 rushing yards with like 15+ attempts but he threw for over 400 yards against them. What does that tell you?
Not much if you take your spin for its face value. Now go back and watch the game, then tell us how many of those 400 passing yards came from plays that were extended due to his dual-threat ability.

Hurts ran for 44 yards on 14 attempts. Not many rushing yards, but those runs were huge for Bama.

It's not just the yards a DT QB gets on designed runs.

A DT QB does not have to rush for a lot of yards to have a big, positive impact on an offense. DT QBs make DC and defenses account for them. DT QBs slow down the defense's rush, make them contain, and make them stay in their lanes. DT QBs are better at extending passing plays and that results in more passing yards. DT QBs can pick up yards with their feet when receivers are covered or when the pocket breaks down.

Dual Threat Recruits in the last 10 years at LSU.

Russell Shepard, Anthony Jennings, Brandon Harris, Justin McMillan, Lindsey Scott, Jr., Lowell Narcisse, Jarrard Randall. Stop with all the dual threat bull. It's old.
