Reading preference? Book or kindle?

Mostly reading from kindle last few years. Convenient but I sometimes miss real books and going to bookstores.
Books or kindle? I think I like both; but what I really like about kindle is how fast and easy it is to download whatever I want to read.

I use my iPad. I read a lot in bed at night and it is much easier to handle than a book.

I brought a good number of actual books with me on deployment. I haven't picked up one, instead listening to Audible audio books. Audible is incredible.

Books bc they feel right.
Kindle for traveling, reading in bed in the dark, and saving house storage space.

I use my ipad. Much easier to carry everything around. And I read a lot at night after my wife falls asleep. With the ipad I don't need to turn on a light to read.
To take it further, I prefer the ibooks app. Every book tells me how many pages are left in the chapter which is helpful when deciding to go to sleep or read a little longer. The kindle app is much less friendly on this unless it's changed recently. I do use both apps, though. Kindle has a much better selection of less popular books.

I use my kindle.
I am reading a book now that a coworker gave me, and my addiction is so bad that i was pressing the side of the page to go to the next one, forgetting that I had to flip it in real life to go to the next page

Kindles are great for the obvious reasons but they really suck when the book has illustrations, or, especially, maps. Reading Riddle Of The Sands (great book by the way especially if you like to sail or books about that) right now and its a pain in the arse because the two maps are important but at the beginning and middle of the book.

Kindles have their advantages, but I love the smell and feel of a real book. Kindle doesn't capture the magic

if it's a really long book, I like the book-book. if it's just some 300 pager, I prefer Kindle.

I prefer a book but reading in bed at night, it’s tough to beat the convenience of the kindle app on my iPhone.

Kindle. I'm on my 55th book this year. If I had to pay hard cover and high paperback prices, I'd feel it in the wallet. I really want the new Kindle Oasis, but $250 is a lot.

Can do both of those things on kindle and more.
To me it comes down to the feel of a real book in your hands. If you can’t get over that, book it is. Otherwise, kindle is just better.

My iPhone or iPad or audio book reading a real book now strains me because I have to hold the damn thing open and remember to take it with me. My phone is always with me so I can read or listen.
