The unemployment rate and the labor participation rate seem to move inversely at inflection points. Anyway that’s the trend I’ve noticed through the years. They coincide once trends are established. For example you might see an uptick in unemployment rate next month and an uptick in participation.

There have been plenty of times in our recent history, when the LFPR was below 62.7%.

Just curious to know, does this include only US citizens, or is this also tracking those here who are on visas, have green cards or are undocumented? I am not clear on that.
