It goes to great links to establish that Hela's powers are tied to Asgard. It also adds that Thor's powers are tied to Asgard.
I don't remember them adding that Thor's powers are tied to the place? Especially when he's going through this process that explains his powers aren't tied to his hammer.

Odin tells him that his powers were focused by Mjolnir, but that their origin was Asgard.

I was pleased that Thor finally was powered up as a god should be, rather than wholly reliant on his hammer for everything. And I was pleased at his fighting prowess and strength vs Hulk. Sometimes Thor doesn’t seem nearly as strong as Hulk. Although Hulk did seem slightly powered down compared to other movies.

Maybe it was a little weird that Hela was so much more powerful than anyone else including Thor, but whatever. Also, it was odd that Thor could be thousands of years old (isnt he?) and not even have his hammer that entire time, but never realize he had any power within him. Seems he’d have noticed at some point, or Odin wouldn’t told him.
