Damn, it's getting hard to wrap my mind around how old those magnificent structures are.

When Julius Caesar looked upon the pyramids, they were older to him than the Colosseum is to us

...by about a half of a millennium.

Why do they always defer to, "there's likely no treasure inside"

There is totally treasure, don't ruin this for us!

I'm familiar with the pyramid. The pharoh had the chambers redone three times. That would make four chambers.
But only the lowest, the middle and the grand chamber were find. The grand chamber had an ascending walkway the other did not.
Still cool that or hasn't been explored. But it seems like on record there should have been four not three.

Should it be considered surprising that the knowledge of how those things were built was lost?

Like wouldn’t everybody have known ABOUT how they were built and passed that down orally?

If they'd just hired some Messicans to tunnel under that thing they'd have already found all kinds of goodies.

Egyptians are professional liars. I won't believe unless confirmed by an outside source. They're the worst people in the world to have as co-workers.

I hope politics there stabilize. I really want to see the pyramids in my life. I've already realized I'll never see Persia or Mesopotamia.
