They allow straight wall cartridge rifles for a week in late November/early December.

As much orange as you can wear... especially if Ohio has a short season. Folks go trigger crazy in short seasons.

You might be familiar with cold weather, but be smart. Layers are important, and try to avoid sweating on the hike in; i.e. less layers (carry your jacket/vest in.) Good gloves/mittens, keep your feet warm, and have head gear for heat retention.

And as a first timer, avoid neck and head shots... boiler-room shots (heart/lung) only.

And finally, post a photo of your kill for us to enjoy, with proper OB boot placement. Those deer get big up there.
