Gandhi was against the partition. A leader by the name of Patel and the founder of Pakistan, Jinnah, were the leaders of the Partition movement. Even then, more Muslims lived in India than in Pakistan or Bangladesh individually. The politics behind it were complex but Gandhi was not a supporter, in general, of the Partition.
Not to mention 1 million people died and a war was fought over the Partition. Seeing as the retard OP thinks it can be done without a war, this doesn't really support the position.
