Po boy = 2 separate pieces
Hinged = hoagie = yankee = NOT a po boy.
It is very frustrating to order “po boys” up here in BR or really anywhere outside Nola area and get a friggin hinged hoagie on soft bread. Appreciate what you have right here- a proper po boy on 2 pieces.

Frankly I put more stock in the bread rather than how it is cut. Seldom have I seen hinged Leidenheimer.
If the shrimp or oysters are fried right, the lettuce is shredded, the tomatoes are in season and the mayo is Blue Plate you can slice the bread in two then use a counter flap or rising butt to hold it together and I'll eat it.
