It’s amazing that it’s almost like a culture at LSU to leave early.

If you play guys early, then the drawback to that is that they're ready to leave earlier.

Bama stacks 5-stars behind 5-stars so the backups simply don't have the game time to justify leaving, so they stay. That's all it is. It's not like they have projected high first round picks forgoing the draft.

Things had slowed down some since the 2014 season.

Yeah it’s pretty frustrating. I don’t get why bama doesn’t seem to have the same issue. They lose one or two per year MAYBE

Yep, and it is hurting us in the long run. Take for example Reuben Foster, he played his full eligibility and he could have gone in the first round in 2016, Also, on offense, Saban recruits really well forO-linemen and he goes for type as well as ranking. Pay attention to where he recruits his linemen from these days, he has guys on the line from California and Iowa....and he recruits a lot of white middle to upper middle class kids who are just as interested in an education as they are on the dollars via the NFL

Also, some of his bigger recent stars like Jonathan Allen , OJ Howard all played out their eligibility. Saban knows how to keep them in school and get them drafted high.

LSU does not recruit like Saban recruits either in type nor intensity
