I do miss though, the DKE game day signs. They were always witty and spot on Examples: 1986 Senate election between John Breaux and Congressman Henson Moore " Mrs Breaux Always Screams for Moore" 1988: Dan Quayle ( a DKE) to Lloyd Bentson...." Lloyd, shut up, I've Screwed an Old Goat Before." And their always great Homecoming standard " welcome Back All Past Due Accounts."

I remember one the TKE frat had a long time ago. It said "Which Delt would you like to Tri?"

When these frats shut down do the guys get refunded?

Yeah, but they have to give back the friends.

It’s unfortunate. They should just shut them all down. They’ve taken all the fun out of them anyway. Twenty years ago they had a future campus plan that had no fraternities. That plan is now coming to fruition. And with no frats the sororitutes will shortly follow. Greek life was never the same after the 97 incident.

Dirty bunch a bastards who’d rather frick than fight. From 130-150 strong in the 1980s to voluntarily shutting down in 2017. Pretty damn sad. I’m guessing they clean the house up and reinvent themselves next Fall.

Dont kid yourself. Fraternities and especially Sororities are rent a friend programs. Its all good til you get behind on your dues.

Whenever a frat thread starts the frat haters come out of the woodwork.

I was in a frat (PKT) and it was some of the best years of my life. 30 years later, I still count some frat brothers as good friends. Great memories to look back on.

Kinda sad, really. My uncle was a Lambda Chi - one of the coolest guys you could ever know.

Henson Moore was a Sigma Chi and John Breaux was a Lambda Chi FTR.

I doubt the Acacia homepage would have told me about the "NOLA Catholic school douchenozzles". I needed the OT for that

Many years ago during my matriculation I knew two cool guys that were lambchops. But that's it.

Lambda Chi had 140 guys on average in the 1980s . They were pretty “ selective “ and had guys on the LSU football team and stuff . Now they have 14? WTF is the difference between 14 and closed anyway ? I also heard they recently balled a legacy. How are you balling guys when you have 14 members, lol ? My guess is National didn’t like the cut of their jib and decided it would be better to start over from scratch.

I was around then, too, and they were doing pretty well... crazy how fast things went downhill.

What is this? Is it only at LSU?

I had 2 friends who were in this frat when I was at LSU back in 1980. Neither were Catholic or from NOLA and were among the few frat guys I could tolerate for long periods of time (I had a low tolerance for juvenile behavior coupled with arrogance).

One became a Vet and is now a professor at LSU and one is now a banking executive (nobody saw that coming ). Still keep in touch with those guys.
