They don't have to show up for the first date. You plead guilty or not guilty or no locum.

Fight it. Let him provide a dash cam to prove it was you. Most jurys now will side against LEO.

Yes they do. When your name is called you tell the judge you're present and ready for trial. Cop has to be there or it's over usually.
