This thread has been wonderful from the beginning. Im a fan of Quad, no matter where he ends up. There is no doubt he will have a chance to play QB at the college level, which very very few get to experience.

My problems come in with the way it seems the people closest to him seem to be taking things. At first, it was amazing LSU was contacting him. Now, that's not enough, when it seems that its the same thing that any other major program is doing as well. Almost get the feeling that the people who were wanting to help push him to LSU will be the reason he is now pushed away from LSU because the LSU staff isn't progressing at their pace. Also, the discrediting of other recruits that play QB is a bad look. I totally understand that the people closest to him will think he is the greatest QB recruit of all time. They are physically and emotionally invested in the kid. Any other QB recruit who would be represented on this board would feel the EXACT same way about their QB.

I just hope everyone realizes it's a marathon and not a sprint. Quad needs to take his time and exercise due diligence as does the LSU staff. Hopefully those advising him understand this as well. LSU rarely offers players that haven't been rated and/or camped yet. There's a process.

And how would I be taking things? I am the only person posting here with a personal relationship with Quad.

If you are referring to the last week or so, I will try to re-iterate what I said the other day, but a little more clearly: Things he's been told and things I have been told do not add up to actions taken. No feelings are hurt, I am just letting you guys know things as they happen without getting too intimate on the details.

I want to be clear that I am not going to push Quad one way or another. I think by my post a few weeks ago, it should be crystal clear where my heart is, and my job is to let him see.I have done that. Frankly at this point my job is done regarding supporting an LSU commitment. It is up to the staff to close the deal at this point, and the process is what it is. LSU can take as much time as they want. If he ends up a Tiger thats great! If LSU's process doesn't match up with what Quad feels comfortable with relative to others schools process that is something I can't change either way.

But there will be no pushing him one way or another.

I have not discredited one QB on this site. Ever. I did at one point say that I thought Quad would ultimately be better than anyone we have had, and I also apologized for posting that. But again, even saying that it is not trashing another QB. I think LSU has had some great QB talent, and has great QB talent now.

The only other fact that I stated regarding QB was that his rating coming out is higher than another QB that LSU recruited heavily. A QB that just passed on LSU. That isn't trashing that QB it is stating a material fact.
