Man. Gordon is starting to look like the Gordon we saw in his first season here pre-injury. I never thought he'd look like that again. Seems to happen to a lot of "damaged" player that leaves here it seems.

IMO I think a lot of it has to do with knowing how to build a cohesive team from coach to personnel.
No way he comes back here and plays like that. Even if he bought in. Or on many teams in the league.
That team works perfectly for him because he isn’t as explosive as he once was, but they space the floor so well, and utilize his jump shot much better than we did, it naturally eases up the resistance when driving inside tremendously. Defensively he is playing with a second unit and isn’t asked to lock down guys, in a system that isn’t priding itself on that facet, so he can better conserve energy.
Our teams are constantly asking role players to go outside their wheelhouse or do more than they are realistically capable of doing, and in the process it exposes their short comings and flaws. The natural evolution of using up your asset base mostly on players that didn’t work out, aren’t good fits, or you got poor value for later on.
