Joe said the umpires' explanation was that he "heard two sounds" down at 3rd base. No wonder he got so hot. You heard two sounds in a stadium with 40,000 fans screaming, and that's how you overturn a call in that situation? That ump needs to take a break from umpiring for a while.

Or, as Maddon said, maybe "some lady in the first row...it could've been a man too."

That explanation by the third base ump is so absurdly ridiculous that not only should he not umpire again, he should be investigated for betting on baseball.

Yep, another day of Cub baseball is always good in my book.

Still can't find the bats and that was their fourth starter and their B relief team. And also thanks to Roberts for playing his senior citizen lineup, gave us three breathers in addition to the pitcher.

Bottom line Bryzzo has been flat out horrible. You count on them to hit good pitching and they have been pretty terrible.

I expect Rizzo and Bryant to have big games tonight.
They know they have been an absolute drag on our offense. Time for them to shine.

We need Quintana to go at least 7 innings.

I'm feeling pretty good about our guys against Kershaw. He was hit pretty hard last game.

Let's force a game 6

Any we should expect that, they are our stars and they are supposed to step up in situations like this. Rizzo has been a pretty easy out since his "Respect Me" tirade, and Bryant is swinging at pitches he normally doesn't.

Need those two to hit.

So I'm looking at flights to Chicago right now from MSY. I WANT to go to Game 5. Never been to a Cubs game before. I have a $375 voucher with Delta. Would be $215 from MSY to ORD one way. Gets there at 4:40. Or I could chance it and go with American to ORD and get there at 5:40 for $57 one way. Found a few tickets on StubHub. What would yall do?

Went last year during the WS and it was an amazing atmosphere, bucket list. Do it if you have the time and few extra bucks.

If I'd never been hell yes I would. I've had a blast at Wrigleyville when the Cubs were rock bottom terrible. Always a good time. And when the Cubs win it's off the hook.

Swinging and missing at pitches he never does. It's all up in his head now, not sure if he can get past that in time for the Cubbies this year.

Wrigley is incredible during the regular season. I can't imagine what a postseason game there is like. If you have the means and time to swing that, definitely do it.
