I’d like to think I don’t need to preface anything with an “even though I can’t stand the president,” but this seems like a cheap political shot. It was honestly probably more along the lines of “your husband went bravely into this situation. He knew what he signed up for and did it anyway.” I wouldn’t advise releasing these recorded calls on account of what the families suffer, but someone should clarify. I honestly won’t buy that he’s that callous or cynical.

I mean no shite Trump is not a good public speaker with all the oratory skills of Reagan and Obama but even when he still fumbles a statement, you can still understand what he said and that context is everything.

Just chalk it up to a case of the autism coming out of the woodworks there.

terrible phrasing to a widow, but i believe his heart was in the right place. words not so much
