Full staff meeting today, over 100 of us in our conference room. Started the meeting as always.....with a prayer and then one of our veteran's led the pledge. Young AA who works in our warehouse never got out of his seat. His super is a former Clemson football player (also AA) and was standing directly behind him.
By the way, we're located in a very small South Carolina town. This was my first experience with the "protesters".
I was much angrier than I thought I would be.

He’s about to learn a fun lesson about the free marketplace of ideas and the First Amendment.

bullshite. Just don't give him the attention he craves. It's not about a cause. It's about attention whoring.

Because some kid wouldn’t stand up and pledge allegiance to an inanimate object in the corner of the room?

Couldn’t it be just as possible he was a Jehova witness?

I think what upset me was the vet who led the pledge did two combat tours in the Afg. I felt like the kid could at the very least have stood up for this guy who saw several of his friends die, regardless of whether you believe we were right or wrong for being over there.

You sound like a pussy who got his panties wrinkled bc someone is using his constitutional freedom of expression.
What kind of place says the pledge anyway?

You should let the board know specifically which one so they can get outraged, rant on their Facebook, and boycott

Which was more disappointing, the younger guy kneeling or the Clemson football player who did nothing and therefore assented?
