I know it is far more complicated than this, but who has more to lose if NAFTA goes away? The U.S. loses VERY little if this agreement ceases to exist...

Some of the things Canada does, especially in its agricultural protectionism is downright criminal...

The US consumer would lose if Nafta went away. CHeap produce (i.e. red peppers in December for $.50) for one.

Canada and Mexico are our two largest trading partners, so killing NAFTA would definitely impact that. We do have a trading deficit with both though.

I would think that mexico has the most to lose if nafta was killed.

Also, we need to think about the immigration effects of killing NAFTA. Trade to the US is a huge part of mexico's economy.

How does their trade with the US compare with remittances from Mexican nationals in the US? Because they could lose one or both of those if they keep fricking around.

so killing NAFTA

Uh, we traded with Mexico and Canada before NAFTA. You think we would stop trading now with them if NAFTA is annulled?

How soon could the rest of South and Central America plant peppers? How about Africa, Southern Asia, and the Pacific?

Or for real shites and grins, how many plastic sheeting green houses could be built in America to supply $.60 red peppers? American jobs, American taxes, American resourcefulness. And how soon could the Mexican red pepper suppliers find a replacement market for their peppers.

NAFTA = American trade deficits.

Trump = "fair trade" agreements or walk away!
