The questions is, why is this relevant? The impact it is having on the business of the NFL is clear. Whether or not two people in his family feel disrespected is irrelevant to the real issues that are making the NFL consider a rule change.

It's relevant because most people care about their friends and families more so than how they are perceived by people they don't know.

Well, then NFL players will see reduced contracts if the owner's business is adversely affected so much that they can't afford to pay players what they are now.

But they're not irrelevant to Matthews in particular, which is all I'm talking about.
