Ah. So you're parsing words. And therefore, can't refute my assertion that the negas are mostly rooting for the team to completely collapse to get a coaching change.

And then, if they don't get exactly, precisely the coaching change they want, they wait for the new coach to lose a game - THEN they root against the team to get another coaching change. They're just not telling you this.

With their mouths.

you dont give a shite about lsu football if you want the shitshow that has been this season, to last for 3 or 4 years.

nothing points to LSU having better players going forward.

Well, if I want LSU to win every game, and they do from now on, this will last 3 to 4 years or longer.

So, that means I don't give a shite about LSU football?

There is a massive difference between hiring the coach you want and hiringthe most unqualified hire in big 6 history.
there is a massive difdifference between hiring a qualified coach you didnt want and hiring someone that never proven anything except that he is a program destroying entity.

Then you agree with me - we HAVE to fire the person responsible for this, so he doesn't get a chance to do it again - Joe Alleva. Fantastic!

right because wanting it and getting it are the exact same thing.

we dont know wbat the future holds but if the future is anything like the 1st 6 games, O will destroy this program by the end of the season.

recruits will go elsewhere. saying O deserves 3-4 years is ignorant.

for sure.

i started a thread saying alleva needs to go before O. alleva hiring the next football coach is unacceptable.

any dumbas could see how important this hire was for lsu. we were at the precipice where we could go down or hire the right coach and get back to 2003-2011 status. at this critical moment our ad put the program in the hands of a career dline coach that has never in his life proven he can run a successful side of the ball let alone a successful program.

its mindblowingly dumb.

I've seen numerous times on here people wanting the team to lose in hopes to fire coach O. Not just a handful of times. No bullshite argument.

I didn't say that. If he wins out, you agree he doesn't deserve to be fired?

If he loses to Bama, but wins the remaining, he doesn't deserve to be fired, right?

If he wins 7 or 8 games this year and 8 or 9 games next year, you agree he doesn't deserve to be fired, right?

If he wins 8 or 9 games, consistently, he doesn't deserve to be fired, right? However "ugly" a lot of those wins are -

Because if you fire a guy like that, and the next guy comes in and drops a few games early, do you give him the quick hook? THEN who are you going to hire? Not someone of quality. Why? Everyone wants the chance to do it their way. A quick hook pretty much means you're taking young guys who are willing to gamble on you.

Not a formula for success (which, I freely admit that Alleva did not follow in hiring Miles' successor and have publicly called for his firing on this forum - regardless of how good or how poorly O performs).

I think we're all operating under the reasonable assumption that his pattern of ineptitude will continue.

But yes if he magically turns into a competent coach then he deserves to keep his job.

The fanbase did not turn on the team, it was all about Coach O and Alleva. Also, a lot of those that turned 'too quickly' were already frustrated with the hire and anemic coaching search. Compound that with the Miss State blowout and Troy loss, I believe that anyone could be justified in turning against the powers that be.

Crap, this dumb stuff again.

I think Alleva is a stupid AD. I think O is a clueless coach who should NEVER been awarded the LSU head coach by our stupid AD, but I want us to beat Auburn and every other team still on our schedule.

Grow up. People can be upset and still want LSU to win. Get over yourself.

Why? I mean that as a genuine question, honestly.

If you are of the opinion that Ed Orgeron was an abysmal hire born from a nonexistent coaching search made by an inept athletic director, why would he "deserve" anything?

From my point of view, there is nothing typical about this hire...from the fact that we hired a guy with such little experience as a head coach and whose experience prior was horrendous to the fact that we hired him essentially NOT to coach but to hire the best coordinators and run a system that no one else ever has over ever will. A system where the head coach is the least respected coaching mind in the room and who "allows" the coordinators to do their thing.

So...for me, I never thought any of this was going to work, but what I did think was that it would take a few seasons before things started to collapse as Orgeron was unable to make "The System" work after Arranda or Canada or both left and turnover became the norm. Thing is...it started to fail almost instantly, and many of the things those of us who DID raise flags about the hire said we were worried about have come to pass.

Call it hating if you will, but there are solid reasons for why I think it's absolutely insane to give this "System" anymore time than we can reasonably stand financially.

i just can't even. Do you realize the damage he could do to this program with a guaranteed 3-4 years?

He has done absolutely nothing to deserve or earn the right to 3-4 years. He needs to be graded at the end of each season...if there is reasonable optimism, then you give him another...and so on.

ETA - So he'll be fired.
