The current MLS is okay for the U.S. program, but it's great for all other CONCACAF countries. We need to make MLS great for the U.S. or we're just wasting our time. Philadelphia Union should be producing a Christian Pulisic every 5 years or so. The clubs need to make investments in youth instead of parents having to work a second job to get their kids on a shitty travel team.

Amen. I don't give a crap about MLS, like I don't give a crap about the Zephyrs/Baby Cakes. It's a minor league product in the grand scheme.

I want the USMNT to be AT LEAST top of this pathetic region with Mexico. Anything less means firings or boycott of all of it.

I wish we would invest in the regional academies idea. The country is so large that it is difficult to implement ideas evenly, but with regional academies you at least localize development, and take it out of the hands of the clubs, who are self-interested, and see more value in spending money on some kid from South America rather than some kid in New York or whatever.
