In one of the games this year, Etling threw a pass from the LSU 5 yard line to the opponents 35 yard line where it was caught with out stretched arms, above the receivers shoulders. That would be about 65 yds in the air, and a little better than Drew Brees did in a QB competition years ago when Jake Delhomme was still at Carolina. Maybe you would rather see one of Harris's 60mph rockets...4 feet over the hands of the receiver who was 3 yards over the line of scrimage!

Because he does.

Tell me how many outs he's completed, or how many deep routes he hasn't underthrown.
C'mon it's obvious. It is what it is at this point.

what was the trajectory, though? It's not just about distance. It's also about have fast a qb can get it there, especially on wide side of the field throws and across the middle.

DE16 hasn't thrown a ball 65 yards.

Erling does not have a noodle arm at all his arm is above avg. just because he throws some touch passes and our fans are ignorant doesn't mean he has a weak arm. Nobody's completed more long throws besides Mett in the past 10 years at LSU. Our fans are stupid read any recruiting or scouting g report and you'll see. The information is in direct conflict to fan opinion.

Etling is.... really bad.

Steps into a throw 1-2 times a game. The rest of the time he's throwing pop-ups/jump balls

I'm going to see some video of your claim.

Etling has consistently under thrown receivers on long passes. I remember in particular a long pass in the Chattanooga game (I think) that obviously was under thrown and would have been either incomplete or intercepted against a decent team.
