so I have zero issue with this

You are entitled to your opinion.

I, like many others, do not want political statements being made during a game in which I spend hundreds of dollars to attend. I didn't come to discuss politics. I especially didn't come to discuss politics on an issue that is extremely divisive. So, I vehemently disagree.

The players don't have the same platform as the VP. That's true. It doesn't justify their decision to protest during the game and it doesn't equate that decision with those who choose to object to it.

Personally, I think choosing to disrespect the flag for any cause is out of line. A person trying to raise awareness for childhood cancer by burning the flag is wrong.

Interesting that you choose the flag burning imagery. Would you explain why you equate taking a quiet knee during the national anthem to setting the flag on fire?
