If I was going to do this I'd go off of Messina Rd south of Twin Bridges Rd (488). Go in a mile or so and look for a way to get down to your right. There's a creek bottom down there and you could literally stay there for a month off the grid without anyone knowing. It's beautiful in there and as long as you didn't get lost you'd have a great time.
