Drivin' and Crying got a lot of airplay in Mobile. I thought Jason and the Scorchers were hilarious. Alternative country. Loved "Telling White Lies."

TenSixtyFive had some decent local talent. Crowned Jewels, East LA Fadeaway (despite being a cover band), and even Muscadine who I don't particularly care for.

Great frontman, and their lead player was legit. Saw them in D.C. in 1984.
