11:53 pm and you wanted us to wake up?
First of all, albeit true that most of us want O gone, not many of us really think he will get fired this season. What we really want is his seat to be scorching hot. Now Alleva can take his feminine arse and go today. That would be fine with all of us for putting us in this horrible situation.
But back to your post. Really? You are going to compare Edward "'O' Rosy Finch Boyz" to Nick Saban? How in the hell and on what planet do these compare? When Nick lost to ULM, he had already had 2 fairly successful stints at 2 different colleges, one of which he earned a National Title versus what we presently have here at LSU - a proven loser at Ole Miss. I guess it would be ok to compare the two if you compared O at Ole Miss vs Saban while he was head coach of the Miami Dolphins, an NFL team, but no.
Whether you like Saban or not, you can't overlook the fact that he keeps his teams in position to be relevant, and he will go down as one of the best coaches in college football. I'm not a fan of him because of where he is, but I respect the shite out of his accomplishments.
O hasn't done jack shite in the same context as Saban. I mean how many titles has Saban won? How many has O won?
You are right, people do need to wake up. Maybe it should be you? Go pump your damn sunshine to someone who will believe it - but it ain't happening in Tiger Nation.

This board has sucked lately. Pulling for the team through thick and thin is what being an LSU fan is all about.

Coach O is not being fired and doesn’t deserve to be.
One part of that statement might be correct, the other definitely is not.

Five years is being very optimistic. I would bet a year's salary that we won't win the SEC in the next ten years.

Supporting losing ADs isn't loving your team

This analogous to firing Mainieri because he hasn't recently won a title and solve the problem with a knee jerk hire of Laval. (Smoke > O, btw)

All 3 of those teams had great head coaches. We do not have a great head coach

Comparing Edward to Nick Saban
Let looks at this absurdity of this comparison even more. Here are what this coaches had accomplished as a college head coach at the tine of each of those losses:
Barry Alvarez: 2 Rose Bowl wins, 2 Big 10 championships, national coach of the year in 1993
Frank Beamer: 3 Orange Bowl appearances, 3 Sugar Bowl appearances, 6 seasons finishing ranked in the Top 10, national coach of the year in 1999, 11 seasons of 10 or more wins, 3 Big East conference championships, 3 ACC conference championships
Nick Saban: 1 National Championship, 2 SEC Championships, national coach of the year in 2003, a 13 win season, went to NFL as HC
Edward: .......................................

Yes, yes he does. He was a horrible hire. Looking at him on the sideline, he clearly has no clue what is going on. After seeing it many years under Miles, O is totally lost.
He was only a horrible hire because you hated it to begin with and we lost two games already. I am not blind, I am not happy about what is happening right now but firing him doesn't help us right now, it would kill us. We need to wait until the season ends first. Otherwise, who ends up taking over?

Of course this board would see it this way. I am not comparing him to Nick Saban, I am showing you that top college's lose to teams they shouldn't. Nick Saban isn't perfect and he was outcoached and outplayed that year. So he turned the system around and now look...
All I meant by that argument is that if Coach O beats Florida, Auburn, and Ole Miss, then they head into Alabama with a 3-1 SEC record and probably a ranking around 18-20. We can beat Alabama, I don't get why so many people think we can't. You can't look at last week's game, only the next one. You can't say we would lose to Alabama because we can't beat Miss St or Troy, that was during a dark time that this team can come out of this weekend.
THINGS CHANGE WEEKLY!!!

If he's the wrong guy, firing him ASAP is the most logical thing to do.
There are reasons why it won't go down like that, mainly due to the vanity of the board of directors and their fear of being ridiculed. But that doesn't mean that dropping him today wouldn't be the in best interests of LSU football.

Too much shite for one man to read on here these days. All College football programs go through tough times where they lose to a team that should have beaten by 4-5 scores... 1999: Cincinnati beat #8 Wisconsin 17-12. Wisconsin had Ron Dayne and ended up #4, winning Big Ten and Rose Bowl 2010: FCS school James Madison upset #13 Virginia Tech 21-16 (it meant nothing to voters as Va Tech went on to win out and finished with a 11-3 record, ACC championship, and an Orange Bowl appearance.) 2007: During Nick Sabans first season with Alabama, they lost to ULM, at Home, 21-14 shite happens. Teams get upset and have to recover. It’s what we do this weekend that will define us as a team. Our game against Florida will give us a chance to not only earn an important SEC game but also to show that we hit the bottom and now we are heading back to the top for some Air. Coach O is not being fired and doesn’t deserve to be. Not yet at least. His new OC deserves a full season before we call for his head. Why do so many LSU fans want people fired and replaced following times of complete destruction. Anywho... That’s all I got tonight As Coach O would say, Geaux Tigers!!!!
Considering the context and the current circumstances, this post is one of the most idiotic things I've read here in quite a while.

Yep. He looks like a spectator tgat someone handed a headset. Looks like the guy on the sideline that knows the least and can't really offer alternative options because he doesn't have any. He's just lucky to be there.
