That was from a brief search. That same brief search for The Tennessean, the major local paper, reveals about 7 articles, and one is just announcing the funeral arrangements.

Maybe there just isn't that much more to report at this time. I mean if the local paper had 6 or 7 articles, 3 or 4 articles from national outlets seems about right.

Yes it was. It also resulted in the death of a 9 people, Roof escaped and they had to capture him (with video), and a trial. In addition, he had a whole social media presence with disturbing videos about his views directory related to the basis of the massacre. That was another story in and of itself. Plus, he has a while documented history here, with family, classmates, etc., able to provide a glimpse into his behavior and beliefs.

So I wouldn't expect the Nashville shooting to be covered near as much since there were far fewer fatalities, the assailant was killed at the scene, and he does have the documented history as an immigrant.

But one other distinction between the two, is that Obama, as expected, actually focused his attention on it, just like Trump is focusing his attention in LV. That is a newsworthy story in and of itself, but it also draws more attention for the populace.

And where was Trump's attention at that time? On the NFL protests. He had 2 dozen tweets about the protests, and I can't find a single tweet or Google search that indicates even a single statement addressing the Church Shooting.

And where was our attention? It was on the NFL protests. From Sunday Morning through mid week, the vast majority of the topics in this board were about the protests. And it tax actually a local story for many of the posters here.

So how can people sit there and express outrage about the MSM's coverage, when we were all obsessed with some NFL players kneeling or sitting during the National Anthem. And apparently most didn't even bother do a basic search to find the articles that they actually provided. I'm guilty of getting caught up in the same thing, but I'm at least self-aware enough to know that I am just as guilty as the MSM, maybe even moreso.

Finally, since the majority who are demonizing the MSM are Trump supporter, how can you outraged about the MSM, when our own leader, who has the ability to direct our focus to events like this, spent the better larry of a week tweeting dozens of times about the protesseen but didn't tweet (or even say, from what I've seen) a single thing about the shooting.

If you're critical of the MSM, because the few articles about the shooting (plus I'm sure corresponding tweets about stories), how can you not be exponentially more critical of the leader of our nation failing to address it a single time and instead focusing on the NFL protests?
