I'm not trying to be a contrarian, but I saw IT today and I don't think it warranted all the glowing reviews it got. Sure, it was a good horror movie. But it went overboard on the sex jokes, most of which weren't even funny, and I didn't see any award-winning horror material.

you're correct on all counts. it was decent. had no tension or atmosphere and relied on predictable jump scares. the kids carried it
