They probably do, if you call getting railed by half the hood just to get back at Mommy and Daddy in a desperate cry for attention. But yet the parents still rather throw money at whatever situation than actually spend time with them.

Lot's of spoiled upper middle class, if not actually wealthy, parents would rather focus on social and financial success rather than success of their spawn (which was itself for the social success of the parents).
